EGLCC® Certification and Registration Process
Welcome to the first Europe-wide certification standard for LGBTIQ businesses! Following global standards and best practices in Europe and North America, the EGLCC is now the first certifying body for LGBTIQ small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the European continent.
EGLCC® Registration vs. Certification
The EGLCC offers two pathways for LGBTIQ-owned businesses:
- Registration – Confirms your SME’s eligibility as LGBTIQ-owned and gives you visibility within our European network.
- Certification – Builds on registration, providing a trusted and verifiable credential recognized by corporate clients and their inclusive procurement programs.
Eligibility: EGLCC® European LGBTIQ Business Certification
A business applying for certification must:
- Have at least 50.1% ownership and management control in the hands of LGBTIQ person(s).
- Provide formal documentation to prove this status.
Certified businesses receive an official certificate of European LGBTIQ business status, valid for three years, at a cost of €180 for the period.
Please note: Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs), as well as businesses based, or operating outside of continental Europe are not eligible for the EGLCC® European LGBTIQ Business Certification.
Eligibility: EGLCC® Registration
A business applying for registration must:
- Be legally operating in Europe.
- Have a percentage of ownership and management control in the hands of LGBTIQ person(s).
Registrations are validated by local chambers and included in the EGLCC® Database of European LGBTIQ Businesses, free of charge for applicants.
Please note: Registrations are not eligible for a written confirmation of status.
Why Apply?
The EGLCC® Certification and EGLCC® Registration processes allow SMEs based in geographic Europe to obtain independent confirmation from a recognized independent body of their status as LGBTIQ suppliers.
This strengthens the position of LGBTIQ SMEs in inclusive supply chains, enabling private and public sector organizations to report spending on diverse suppliers and demonstrate corporate commitment to responsible and inclusive sourcing.

The unified EGLCC® Certification and Registration Application (hereinafter referred to as the “Application”) collects the necessary information about LGBTIQ-owned and -operated businesses (hereinafter referred to as “businesses”) wishing to benefit from association with other LGBTIQ company owners within the EGLCC network, multinational companies, and other business development organizations.
