SUMMARY:East meets West 2021 World Pride Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Central & Eastern Europe: A different Reality?\nEast meets West together with Pride Business Forum (CZ) is hosing a hybrid event within 2021 World Pride. \n    \nThe Central & East European (CEE) region is often treated in discussions about Human Rights and Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) as an outsider. The negative LGBTIQ news that reaches us from this part of Europe has certainly not helped to change this perception. We want to share with you a different picture of D&I in this region\, a picture of dynamic and successful NGO’s that\, with the help of a young population and the support of the business world\, are gradually changing the existing homophobic status into an open and diverse society. We bring on stage a great mix of countries as well with corporates as with NGOs. Join us to hear insights and practical good examples from the Czech Republic\, Hungary\, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Russia. \nFor more information to to: https://copenhagen2021.com/human-rights/workplace-inclusion-day/sphere-session-7-east-meets-west-prague-pride/

SUMMARY:LGBTI+ Business Conference Scandinavia
DESCRIPTION:LGBTI+ Business Conference Scandinavia Theme:\nSustainable Diversity\n  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n  \nThere is a significant return on investment for private corporations that implements a sustainable diversity strategy. In order to be successful this need to be a credible\, long-term starchy in how these issues can best be implemented in the corporate business strategy\, in all parts of the business processes from talent acquisition to workplace inclusion\, innovation\, sales and supply-chains. This can also be tracked up to the owner-level\, by the stock-performance. \nSGLCC – Scandinavian LGBT Chamber of Commerce produce a screening of Scandinavian corporations\, and it show that some are well under way\, whereas others may need some more knowledge and understanding in order to develop further. \nThe current pandemic has caused severe stress to the business environment across the world. Some have had a very difficult time\, and some have done well. Over time\, certain areas will go back to pre- pandemic activities\, and others will come out with entirely new models and strategies. What has become evident is the need for the diversity and inclusion models to be resilient under stress as well as sustainable in order to be useful\, credible and deliver the intended outcome for the business at hand. \n\n\n\n\n\n  \nThe conference will be held at Malmö Town Hall\, Aug 17 2021 from 1-5 PM\, and is an annual event. It is our sincere hope that circumstances allow us to meet in person\, but we have also a virtual option. \n  \n\n\n\n\nMore information: www.lgbtibusinessforum.com / www.sglcc.eu

SUMMARY:7th International East meets West Conference
DESCRIPTION:RIDING THE WAVES OF CHANGE \n17th June 2021 \nTHE 7th INTERNATIONAL ONLINE EAST MEETS WEST CONFERENCE: \n \nFULL AGENDA: https://www.eastmeetswest.eu/2021conference \nREGISTRATIONS UNDER: https://eastmeetswest2021.eventbrite.com \n  \nWe used to live in a world that was perhaps not always peaceful but that was never in a complete turmoil. But this has changed and our LGBTIQ community\, as active player in society\, cannot ignore this reality. As we might not always be aware of what is exactly changing around us\, East meets West wants\, in the 2021 Conference\, to tackle this very challenging topic of ‘Change’ and ask the question how to ‘ride these waves of change‘. \nThe Changes are revealed in different ways. The LGBTIQ community in Central- and Eastern Europe has certainly undergone changes. So we will bring you an updated picture of the daily LGBTIQ reality in the different countries. As we also want to put a special focus on Poland and its challenged LGBTIQ community\, the 7th International East meets West Conference 2021 will be sourced from the Polish capital Warsaw. East meets West set-up a local Studio and will stream the Conference to audiences in the whole world. \nBut Changes have appeared also in our daily activities. Just consider the new ways of communication and the need to speak a different ‘language’ if we want to reach our communities. We read about the ‘New Normal’ but without knowing what it will mean for all of us. East meets West will present speakers and run discussions that will not only open your eyes for these changes\, but at the same time show you ways to adapt your existing approaches and become even more successful.

SUMMARY:SGLCC: Corporate Round Table on The economic case for LGBT Inclusion
DESCRIPTION:We welcome our partners to a Round Table discussion on the corporate value of LGBT inclusion in a safe and corona-free environment\, at the British Ambassadors Residence. \nIn Britain the LGBT market is estimated is more than 80 Billion Pounds annually. The Nordic countries alone constitute a potential 2.5 million consumers and more than EUR Bln 30 in net-value. LGBT inclusion is vital for corporations in order to access this market potential. In addition a strategic D&I program attracts better talents and improves the environment for innovation. Yet\, many corporations still have some way to go in order to integrate these issues in their business model to the full potential. Our Roundtable aims to provide a constructive dialogue and sharing of best practice examples. \nDue to restrictions this event is by special invitation only. Please contact SGLCC tobias@sglcc.eu.

SUMMARY:EmW: SPOTLIGHT SERIES #3 on CSR
DESCRIPTION:HAPPY NATIONAL COMING-OUT DAY! East meets West is back with their SPOTLIGHT SERIES and this time with something very very special! EmW brought on stage four international authorities who each of them was able to look at Corporate Social Responsibility from a specific\, very personal point of view – Adela Horakova\, Nikita Baranov (he/him)\, Fabrice C Houdart and Jens Schadendorf. This dynamic combination of people and ideas delivered what sometimes happens with a podcast\, it becomes an eruption of rich ideas\, surprising findings and inspirational guidelines\, going from another perspective on pink-washing to a surprisingly positive evaluation of the COVID19 pandemic for the future of the Corporate Social Responsibility\, certainly for our LGBTIQ community… \nThe recording is available on our youtube channel https://youtu.be/dLwhHQeQpKA but now newly also as a podcast on Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/user-14622893/east-meets-west-spotlight-series-3
